Madai Waterfalls, Kunak

After the Menara Kayangan we then proceeded with our search for the Tingkayu Archeological Site. But still we couldn't find it. Bummer. We then decided to get on with our main goal which are to explore Madai Cave. However, on our way to Madai we passed by the Madai Waterfalls (we depended solely on Waze and Google maps and we didn't know that if from Lahad Datu we'll pass the waterfalls before Madai cave). Our initial plan was to explore the cave first then go to the waterfalls to have our lunch.

It was a good thing we stopped at the waterfalls first as we're all hungry as hell. We prepared our own lunch beforehand for this trip to save some money. Our aim was to minimise our expenses and still have loads of fun. We're a full time students. We don't make money. You get the drill.

Madai waterfalls is a great place to spend some quality time with friends and family. You could have picnic there. The surrounding is just perfect for that.

So here goes some of the photos we took at the waterfalls.

You see the canopy walk? It was not open during the time we were there. And you see the hut? Its condition wasn't satisfying. It's too bad that this place has poor maintenance. But still like I said it's a great place to spend your weekend with family or friends.
